I need to get me some .sex!

ICANN just approved the creation of new top-level domains that are up to 64 characters in length.  No more will the web be restricted to .com, .net, .org, .tv, etc.  We’ll be able to have .seattle, .kingcounty, .iamfreakincool, etc. etc.
And of course there will be a run on .sex domains, .xxx, etc.  Which is something [...]

Dynamic Duo

In the words of Keanu Reeves: “Whoa!” Normally we present to you the future of new devices that can provide you more and more technology in the palm of your hand, we even tell you great ways to use that technology but not very often do we get a chance to show you the future in [...]

Black Kids

They might be from Jacksonville, Florida but their new album doesn’t come to their home country for another month. They’re huge in the U.K.
Hope everyone enjoys their Friday and hopefully this catchy song starts the weekend out on a good note.

Eye-Fi Adds Geotagging and Hotspot Access

The folks at Eye-Fi have done it again with their next iteration of their brilliant memory card/wireless uploader combination.  This time, with the release of the Eye-Fi Explore, they’ve added geotagging to the pictures you’ve taken.
At first glance I thought they’d managed to cram in a GPS unit into the super small card, which would [...]

Google Health

We first reported on this when it was in private testing a few months ago and then I made a brief reference to Google’s new medical venture in a Friday review not long ago. Here now are my thoughts on the new feature.

Google Health announces that it is “safe, secure, and free.” It will not [...]

A day early

I’m predicting tomorrow I’ll be too busy for any sort of Friday Review so, here it is on a Thursday. Enjoy!
Selling out: Remember those Netflix set-top boxes I mentioned the other week? Well, they’ve sold out of the entire supply. The maker of the device, Roku, says they “will need about two weeks to fulfill current [...]

Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust

Here, in its entirety is the new album from Sigur Ros. Even though it’s a big departure from what you might be used to hearing from the Icelandic group this new sound does not disappoint.

As the time on the clock says, it starts at 10am so it’s almost here and you can follow along live here. We should be hearing of the new iPhone today. No word on how soon they will be hitting stores but it could be as soon as this week or as far off as [...]

Eye-Fi Card Exposes Unsuspecting Thief

Engadget has a story about a woman who’s camera was stolen in Florida.  What the thief didn’t know was that the SD card inside her camera was actually an Eye-Fi card.  It’s a sweet piece of technology I myself own and enjoy using.
The card somehow manages to squeeze 2GB of memory and a 802.11 transmitter [...]

Starbucks and AT&T Team Up to Deliver Free (Sometimes Sort-of) Wireless

OK, so Starbucks started their partnership with AT&T to provide free wireless Internet in Starbucks stores nationwide.  The rules for getting this free wireless access are somewhat complicated.  It all depends on…well, a number of different things.  There is a giant FAQ if you’re interested in all the details.
But essentially it boils down to this:

If [...]
