HD DVD takes a hit

 
Warner Bros. announced that they will no longer be the only studio in town releasing content on both formats. Warner Brothers Home Enterainment chief Kevin Tsujihara announced at the Consumer Electronics Show in Vegas that “by us being both, we were playing into consumer confusion.” Only Universal and Paramount/Dreamworks remain studio side. The top illegally downloaded film over BitTorrent in 2007 was Transformers. It comes as no surprise as the top 4 are all films directed towards young males. The top 4 rounds out with Knocked Up, 300, and The Bourne Ultimatum.
