This Tuesday I don’t have much as far as suggestions of what to buy, but it seems everyone went out and bought Transformers last week. Sales totaled 8.3 million copies, 4.5 in the first day alone. The title also raked in 190,000 HD DVD copies bringing it to #1 in sales in that Hi-Def format. Kelley Avery from Paramount Home Entertainment is quoted saying this “is a win for both content providers and retailers.” It seems they can get along.

Never one to shy away from a chance to get his name mentioned in the daily’s, (and me never being one to pass up the opportunity to mock) Michael Bay is a little down on his blockbuster’s dvd release. He’s unhappy he didn’t have enough time to devote to the production of the dvd and its content. He said “that’s how your movie lives on, in the DVD format.” This might seem strange because for most people Michael Bay’s movies live on on TBS and on, and on, and on.
