Sure you can watch the Emmy’s on Sunday night or you can go see a movie but why would you do either of those things when you have an advanced copy of ‘Halo 3’ in your possession? It works out ok that I’m feeling pretty sick and the clouds have taken over the sky. This way I can spend the next 48 hours playing Halo without any of the guilt.

For those without such prized possessions I make the following recommendations:

December Boys. Daniel Radcliffe strikes out of his Harry Potter glasses to portray an orphan boy who is fighting for acceptance and to figure out his place in the world. Did I mention no glasses?

Across the Universe. Julie Taymour hasn’t had a failure yet and only those living in New York and L.A. will be able to find out if she’s kept up her winning streak. Reviews and early word on this troubled film point to no but don’t let the reviews determine how you feel about this one. It promises to be as creative and inspiring as the Beatles music in the film.
