VW City Expert

A Volkswagen spokesman was quoted saying “the two companies are in the early stages of talks” just days after the two CEO’s completed talks in San Fransisco. Speculation ranges from upgrades to the simple iPod connection in VW cars to a full on iCar and everything in between. The New York Times however is betting on the speculation that if there is a car it will be similar to the City Expert design which will be at the Frankfurt Motor Show, opening next week. As you would expect the vehicle would be sleek, tiny and totally original.

This is in the early stages but we can only imagine cars with built in touch screens that can provide you everything from your entire music catalogue via iTunes to google maps with constantly updating traffic maps and emergency information as standard features. Don’t forget about the screens mounted to the back of the headrest for all those stuck in the back seats who need to watch the latest ABC show (sorry NBC but you’re out of this deal now). No word yet on whether the car will come with Wi-Fi or require system updates every 10,000 miles.
